What does Covid-19 mean for the Valley Ski Club…

When visiting the Valley Ski Club this season, you will notice a number changes as a result of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic.

These changes will be revised as necessary to maintain compliance with the latest directives from the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services.

We recognize that some of the changes will create inconveniences and we ask for everyone's cooperation, patience and understanding during these difficult times.

Our facility strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for everyone to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. Achieving this will require a willingness from everyone to do things differently.

Let's Work together to Be the Reason we Have a Season!!

Face Coverings will be required in all indoor and outdoor spaces unless actively eating or drinking.

  • We encourage you to ride the T-Bar with people from your home cohort or bubble!

  • You will not be required to ride with someone that you did not arrive with.

  • Face covering will always be required while riding the T-Bar and rope

  • Social distancing must be maintained in lift lines at all times.

  • The Lodge Capacity will be limited based on physical distancing guidelines from Alberta Health Services.

  • We ask that all patrons be respectful of our limited lodge space and be courteous to others. Please be fair and give others a chance to enjoy their food as well.  Priority will be given to patrons purchasing food from the concession

  •  If demand for seating is high, you will be asked to limit your time for eating to no more than 30 minutes once getting your food from the concession. This will give others a chance to enjoy their food at a sanitized table as well.

  • To conserve lodge space, minimize clutter and protect the health and safety of our staff and members, bags and backpacks will not be permitted in the lodge. Please come prepared to hit the slopes and use your vehicle as your home base.

  • We will be doing increased sanitation of the lodge this season.

  • Extra staff will be employed to keep up with cleaning and sanitizing protocols.

  • Please do your part to keep the lodge clean and tidy!

While options for additional warm up spaces are being explored, we ask that you come prepared to spend time outside.  This is the year to dust off your skis and get out there with your kids or pack warm gear to go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air.

If all available warm up capacity is full, you may need to use your vehicle as alternative shelter.

This is the year to go "old school" and tailgate/brown bag/warm up at your vehicle.
