Check out all we have to offer!

Valley Alpine Ski Club
(Nancy Greene)

The Valley Alpine Ski Club offers instruction based on the Husky Snow Stars program.  Training runs every Thursday night 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday Mornings 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.  The program is designed for skiers ages 5&up and teaches skill progression in a fun and rewarding ski racing environment.  Skiers have the opportunity to show off their skills in our annual race, which is always a great time.  For racers that would like to experience racing on a regional scale we offer an off-site racing program that see's racers compete in Red Deer, the four Edmonton hills and a final race in Jasper (one of the best weekends you'll spend on skis!).  For more information email valleyalpinesc@gmail.com

Battle River Ski and Snowboad Club

The Battle River Club offers ski instuction at the Valley Ski Hill, and also introduces children to ski competition allowing young skiers the opportunity to test the skills they have learned in the program in a fun and friendly environment.   At the heart of our program is a lesson schedule on Friday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 and Sundays from 11:30 - 2:30 at the Valley Ski Hill. The Battle River Club is proud to utilize the Husky Snow Stars as the long term development tool for entry level programs. The Husky Snow Stars program is a premiere skill development tool geared towards aspiring ski participants aged between 5 and 12 years old, along with a more competitive program for older racers.   This seven-step program, which is promoted by Alpine Canada, the Canadian Ski Coaches' Federation and the Provincial Ski Associations, guides children, coaches, and parents through a progression of ski skills.  This skill development program introduces children to basic ski techniques and skills, basic safety rules, and teamwork. Enjoyment of the sport and the Valley ski environment is also emphasized.  The Battle River Club also offers optional field trips outside of the Hill like mountain ski trips.
